Module 1
• Introduction to ADHD – Understanding the basics – Presentations
• What is ADHD? Symptoms and causes.
• Who is affected by ADHD? Age groups.
• Challenges around ADHD in family, learning, personal & business.
• ADHD challenges in health and emotional regulation
• Challenges ADHD clients present in coaching sessions
• Tools and resources to use in initial coaching session to establish obstacles and goals
Module 2
• Exploring neurodiversity and additional diagnosis like OCD, Autism and Executive
Functioning and how they affect individuals
• Developing self-awareness in neurodivergent clients and how to harness strengths
• Enhancing communication and challenging unhelpful behaviours
• Exploring triggers for overwhelm and making changes to manage situations
• Understanding Neurodiversity in the workplace
• Tools and resources for time blindness, procrastination, triggers, to do lists, focus and
attention.
Module 3
• Utilising core coaching skills to build rapport with ADHD clients to tailor goal setting,
action planning and managing symptoms to strengthen self-respect
• Utilising NLP methods like chunking and reframing to facilitate in depth selfunderstanding and complexities of ADHD – identifying and eliminating limiting beliefs
and self-sabotaging patterns
• Utilising methods and treatments like Cognitive Behavioural coaching with socratic
questioning to enhance communication and support clients in growth and
development.
• Understanding self-care, personal agency and healthy habits to manage symptoms and
challenges. Holistic approach.
Module 4
• Levels of Executive Functioning and strategies around them for organisation, overwhelm
and self-control
• Exploring how EF is connected to ADHD and exploring the “what”, “when”, “why”, “who”
circuits
• Looking at working memory – strategies to keep information in mind
• Attention & Inhibition for self-control
• Cognitive flexibility for flexible thinking
• Targeting the cause of executive functioning problems
• Tools and resources to identify levels of EF levels and strategies to overcome negative

• Managing emotional dysregulation within the coaching relationship
• Supporting clients with co-occurring challenges
• Managing ADHD burnout and putting prevention strategies in place

This course is designed to add skills, knowledge and tools to your coaching foundation.
This course will help you understand the adjustments and challenges around coaching ADHD clients.
You will need to complete the Coaching fundamentals before starting the ADHD coaching skills component.
The coaching fundamentals are delivered in recorded webinars, practical group work and reflective assessments.
The ADHD Coaching skills component will be run 1 night a week over 6 lessons. Pro bono coaching sessions recorded for submission and client testimonials.
